The more visually oriented websites tend to be designed for viewing at a pixel density of 1024 X 768. This allows more of a page's contents to be viewed at one time. However, most computer monitors tend to be set for a pixel density of 800 X 600. This allows portions of a page to appear larger and thus be more easily seen. The drawback is that not all of some pages can be viewed simultaneously.
Since the pages on this website are designed for viewing at a pixel density of 1024 X 768, we recommend resetting your monitor to accommodate the higher pixel density. To change your monitor settings, follow the instructions below.
Although the screen captures are in Chinese, a combination of the appended instructions, the uniformity of Windows interfaces (or similarity of alternate interfaces) and your own common sense should get you through to the desired result.
| Right click on Desktop to view Desktop Menu. | Left click Contents to view Screen Settings. | Open Settings to view slider. Adjust slider to 1024 X 768. Left click Okay to apply new settings. |
If you have just reset from 800 X 600 to 1024 X 768, you should find that the Windows interface is now smaller than the viewing area of the monitor. To resize the display, first locate the monitor controls, most likely near the bottom of the monitor housing, within easy reach of the user.
Some monitor controls consist of dials, the turning of two of which will allow you to alter the size of your interface vertically and horizontally. The turning of still other dials will allow you to move the interface up and down or left and right so that you can position it as desired.
Other monitor controls consist of arrows and the signs + and -. Depressing an arrow will bring up a monitor control display (unfortunately not part of the Windows interface and therefore uncapturable). Further depressing of arrows will allow you to select the parameter you wish to adjust. To adjust the width and height, use the arrows to move the lighted cursor to the corresponding icon on the display, most likely a rectangle with a two-headed arrow in its center. Horizontal adjustment is represented as left right, vertical adjustment as up down. Having selected the correct icon, use the + and - controls to increase or decrease the width or height of the Windows interface. To adjust the horizontal and vertical positioning of the interface, move the lighted cursor to the corresponding icon on the display, most likely a large rectangle with a small rectangle protruding from one of its sides. Use the + and - controls to position the interface as desired.
Finally, you may choose to adjust the size of the characters displayed by your browser. Simply click on View, select Character or Text and select a comfortable size. This site was designed with character size at Medium.
